My Why: Switching to Clean and Working as a Beautycounter Consultant

I wanted to talk about my new passion for my first post of 2021. Clean Beauty.

My journey to switch to cleaner and safer products started a couple of years ago. During this time I've researched a ton of ingredients and regulations and was basically left disgusted. So I started switching to clean which led me to Beautycounter.

I wanted to share a little more about My Why.
Let's start off simple.
Reason 1 - I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 21 and then went on to deal with infertility for 5 years before finally getting pregnant through IVF.
Reason 2 - My 2 daughters, whom I am fiercely protective of. I never EVER want them to deal with any of my health issues.
Reason 3 - Because I stand with everything that Beautycounter is doing - educating about beauty products and the nasty ingredients allowed in the products we put on our bodies, advocating for change and updating the regulations within the beauty industry, and the transparency in their ingredients.

After having Emma, I started to become super aware of what we were consuming, using on our bodies, and using around the house. I started to do research and started making safer swaps - cleaning products, hand soap, pet products, baby products, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. It wasn't until we started planning to get pregnant with our second that I started to research my own beauty products - skin care and make up. It was scary what I found.
During this time I was introduced to Beautycounter and I started to make some safe skin care swaps. Not only did I fall in love with their products but I fell more in love with the company as I read more about them and paid attention to their campaigns and social media.
After having Lily, I decided to take the leap and start my own Beautycounter business!
Now let's be honest here, working a MLM was intimidating. I knew I'd be judged and it would scare people away. But the love I had for this company kept me going. I have to say, 4 months in, and I'm so freaking proud to work for this company! They are doing amazing work within the beauty industry and they are making other companies take notice. We should not sacrifice our health and our families' health for beauty.
I have found something that has ignited my passion and motivation. I'm excited to wake up early to squeeze in work and I look forward to my webinars, and training in the evenings.

And I want to be honest here, it's not all Beautycounter and sales pitches. Trust me, I've been apart of other marketing VIP groups and I don't want that. I talk about all clean products, brands, and switches, environmental and sustainable products, recipes, beauty tips, mom life, snacks, coffee and lots more! I want to create a community where we can discuss life - all of it and how to make smarter and safer choices.

That's all for now. If you have any questions for me, feel free to comment or email me directly at: sparklegirl.jen@gmail.com
